Reviews Of Bermuda Snorkel Park

Snorkel Park Bermuda

I love being in the water. Whether it is swimming in the pool or splashing in the waves, I just enjoy the water. And I especially love snorkeling. With snorkeling, I can don a mask, snorkel and flippers at any time, and get lost in an undersea world that rivals the best imagination. One of my favorite places to go is the new Bermuda Snorkel Park where you can spend the day enjoying beautiful Caribbean sea life.

I got my start with snorkeling by taking lessons in Key Largo Florida many years ago. It was a life-changing experience! I got out of my clothing and into my bathing suit, entered the water and my eyes were opened to an undersea world! Now, I give gifts to family and friends to go on snorkeling trips or to buy diving accessories. I tell them to leave their clubs at home! Snorkeling is much more fun (and less expensive) than golf.

For the holidays this year, we left our jobs behind and headed out to Bermuda to visit the new Bermuda Snorkel Park. This undersea playground is located in the northwest corner of the Royal Naval Dockyard. It is within walking distance of King's Wharf where many of the cruise ships dock. So, if you are on a cruise, you can also enjoy snorkeling here.

Here are a few comments by recent visitors to the Bermuda Snorkel Park:

"I thought I should share the great experience we had last fall. We combined a trip to the US with a Royal Caribbean cruise to Bermuda and found the Snorkel Park by coincidence, as it was only walking distance from the cruise ship terminal (Kings Wharf). It was the highlight of our trip! We first went on a jet ski tour, which was LOTS of fun and when we returned, we snorkeled for a couple of hours. We have done a fair bit of snorkeling on other trips and were totally amazed at how much there was to see so close to shore!

We then decided to have some lunch at their restaurant/bar and had some delicious local fish & chips. It was then that we found out that they have live music on the beach at night. We went back to the ship for dinner and returned afterwards. It was really COOL. Great music, beautiful setting and lots of fun!"

"We visited Snorkel Park on August 10, while we were docked at King's Wharf at the Royal Naval Dockyard. We really enjoyed it. It was within walking distance to the ship and there was no admission charge. It is a small, but nice beach. Hammerhead's Restaurant and Bar is onsite so you can get food and drinks there. You can rent snorkeling equipment, paddle boats, kayaks, etc. The water is calm. There are two slides into the water. My kids snorkeled and said that they saw lots of fish and coral. There are marked trails for snorkeling. We would definitely go back again."

"If you are new to snorkeling or you are experienced at it, you will love this area. Lots of undersea vegetation, reef fish of all sorts and easy access make this a top site. Rental equipment is reasonable. The water surface is generally calm. If others in your party don't snorkel, they can shop in the adjacent mall. This is located at the dockyard in bermuda. There is also an interactive dolphin attraction next door but I did not go in. I heard that was excellent also from a family that went in."
